Fieldwork Photos
I have plenty of fieldwork photos (some of which appear on this site). But one of my greatest regrets from all my years of conducting ethnographic research in the Marquesas is that I have not taken enough photos of people! I am always concerned about protecting people’s privacy, and not taking pictures makes that easier. But as the years pass and faces begin to fade from my memory, I wish I had more pictures of all the people who have worked with me. So here are a few, at least; mostly of my host families or dear friends…
